The faculty of the Illinois Mathematics and Science Academy is committed to offering an innovative student-centered, constructivist curricula designed to engage students in generative, critical thought.  As the leader of the academic programs of the residential academy, the Dean advances curriculum and assessment aligned to revised Standards of Significant Learning (SSLs) that transitions the Academy to competency and performance-based instruction. The Dean is also responsible for supporting and advancing equity and excellence throughout the academic programs.  Development of an assessment plan including a critical review of appropriate metrics and measures is an instrumental element of this role. Inherent with this role is the willingness and ability to collaborate with, gather input from, and consider input from students, parents, and staff, including faculty. In addition, the Dean will collaborate closely with the Dean of Student Support and Equity and the Principal to support the Academy’s mission.   This position will support IMSA's diversity work by ensuring the delivery of quality, equitable, and inclusive constituent-centered support, while promoting and maintaining an inclusive work environment and culture, that embraces the diversity of people and perspectives collaborating at IMSA, to ignite and nurture creative, ethical, scientific minds that advance the human condition.   IMSA is committed to an equitable, diverse and inclusive teaching and learning environment. The faculty and staff of the Illinois Mathematics and Science Academy® (IMSA) invite you to join them in shaping and implementing the next generation of innovative and engaging learning experiences.  IMSA is actively seeking applications for the full-time position of Director of Accounting.   The Director of Accounting is responsible for the maintaining the appropriate business and data records and general ledger accounting ensuring financial integrity of the Academy’s business and finance operations and procedures; manage the Academy’s general ledger including overseeing monthly, quarterly and annual reconciliations, fiscal year-end closing and opening. Prepare timely financial reports; supervise daily business office transactions and supervise periodic audits; assure compliance with policies and procedures; assist with payroll budget planning and guide and oversee payroll processing; and evaluate the effectiveness of accounting software, systems and processes. This individual is responsible for developing and implementing STEM education initiatives for students and teachers.  This individual will help IMSA achieve its goals, meet project and program objectives and apply best practice.   Educational outreach activities are facilitated by the Statewide Student Initiatives (SSI) team within the Illinois Mathematics and Science Academy. The Illinois Mathematics and Science Academy® (IMSA) is seeking applicants for the position of Athletic Trainer.  The primary functions of this position include providing athletic training services for the Coordinator of Athletics and Co-Curriculars, Coaches, student athletes, and the Health Office. POSITION SUMMARY The selected candidate will be responsible for responding to calls for service, writing reports, and providing and ensuring adequate patrols of the campus to promote a safe learning and working environment for the IMSA Community and its visitors to the campus.  Security Officers may be responsible for Front Desk Operations including, but not limited to; monitoring access to main building, registering guests through a visitor management system, monitoring CCTV camera system, answering telephone switchboard system, monitoring alarm systems, and relaying calls for service to other Patrol Officers.   Hours/Shift/Work Schedule: This position is a part time non-exempt position. POSITION SUMMARY Resident Counselors (RCs) are members of a four person hall staff, who work collaboratively to monitor and support a residence hall. Each of our seven residence halls houses approximately 96 students. RCs are charged with directly supporting and developing 24 students in their wing. The Residence Life staff is composed of the Director of Residence Life, 3 Area Coordinators, 28 Residential Counselors and 7 Day Hall Monitors.   Area Coordinators are full time, live-in, professional staff members. Key responsibilities include the supervision, mentoring, and training of Resident Counselors, assisting with the development of the residential student leadership program, housing, facilities, hiring, and implementation of the Residential Life Curriculum. The Area Coordinators work with the Directors of Residence Life to provide structure, leadership, vision, and development to the Office of Residence Life. The Area Coordinator’s work hours vary and include evening and weekend responsibilities as the Administrator on Call.

POSITION SUMMARY The selected candidate will be assisting the IMSA Custodial and Maintenance staff with the department operations. This position is supervised by the Maintenance Supervisor.   Hours/Shift/Work Schedule:  This position is a full time, non-exempt position. Hours worked: 2:30pm – 11:00pm with a 30 minute meal break.
