This is a temporary, anticipated 8 week position (could be slighlty more or less depending on Academy needs), filling in for a leave during the Spring 2026 semester. The selected candidate will be responsible for counseling students on a drop-in basis, providing outside resources for students and families, assessing student needs, developing peer support group programs, and assisting with the coordination of the sophomore navigation program as a part of implementing a comprehensive counseling program focused on social and emotional learning. The Temporary School Counselor will be supervised and evaluated by the Executive Director of Student Affairs.

Work is performed in an office setting with minimal exposure to health or safety hazards. Substantial time is spent working on a computer. This role requires the following physical activities: talking, hearing and visual acuity, sitting, walking, bending, stooping, finger dexterity, repetitive motions, loading, unloading and moving materials/boxes weighing up to 50 pounds.
COMPENSATION:
This position is a temporary, exempt, employment-at-will full-time position, however, the Academy is open to accommodating candidates who may only be able serve in a part-time capacity. An annualized salary for this range will fall between $53,380.63 - $66,725.80 depending on education level and years of experience pro-rated to hours and length of time worked. This position is not benefits eligible.
