The Illinois Mathematics and Science Academy® (IMSA) is seeking applicants for the position of Director of Admissions as a member of the Admissions Office. The Director of Admissions’ primary function is to provide overall leadership for student recruitment and selection with responsibility for Academy-wide strategic direction of class composition and Admissions policy. This position is also responsible for Admissions programmatic and budgetary direction. The Director of Admissions reports to and is evaluated by the Chief Student Affairs Officer.

Work is performed in an office setting with minimal exposure to health or safety hazards. Substantial time is spent working on a computer. This role generally requires mobility, written and verbal communication, hearing and visual capabilities, finger dexterity, repetitive motions, loading, unloading and moving materials/boxes weighing up to 30 pounds. However, reasonable accommodations, including assistive technology, may be made to enable qualified individuals with disabilities to perform such requirements.
COMPENSATION
This position is a full-time, exempt, 12-month, employment-at-will position. Salary range for this position is $81,500 to $101,000 with final offer being commensurate with training and experience in like institutions. As part of the State University Retirement System, the Illinois Mathematics and Science Academy offers an excellent comprehensive benefits package including health and retirement benefits. The State Universities Retirement System (SURS) is reciprocal with other Illinois public retirement systems such as the Teachers’ Retirement System of Illinois (TRS) and the Illinois Municipal Retirement Fund (IMRF).
