This role is ideal for individuals looking to gain experience in STEM education, enhance their teaching skills, and make a positive impact on students’ learning experiences. A training session will be provided before the start of each program to familiarize facilitators with the curriculum.

  • Foster a welcoming and inclusive learning environment that encourages inquiry, exploration, and curiosity.
  • Ensure student safety during program activities, including during drop-off and pick-up.
  • Provide support to students as a classroom facilitator, guiding them through activities and promoting engagement.
  • Assist with the clean-up and storage of materials at the end of each session.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Must be a college student majoring in education or a STEM-related field, or an early-career teacher (within the first few years of teaching).
  • Passion for STEM education and a desire to inspire young learners.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to create a positive and engaging classroom environment.
  • Availability on weekends, evenings, and/or Wednesdays during the day is desirable. Applicants are not expected to be available at all times.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Elementary or middle school education majors or early career educators
