IMSA's SITE intern program identifies talented college students who are pursuing STEM or education degrees and are interested in exploring teaching. It provides these interns with training, mentorship and support, feedback, and classroom opportunities to teach IMSA-created, hands-on, inquiry-based STEM content to students in IMSA’s summer programs. These internships are based at IMSA's Aurora, IL campus. This internship would begin the week of May 20 and conclude August 2, with the week of July 1st off. General hours are 8 a.m. - 4:30 p.m., with some possible travel to field sites. SITE Interns will receive hourly compensation at $11.00/hr.
Eligibility Requirements: Rising college sophomore, junior, or senior, or enrolled in a graduate program for fall 2019, with a STEM or education concentration.
Priority Application Deadline: January 30; regular Application Deadline: March 15 - decisions will be made on a rolling basis, so it benefits you to get your application in early. The final cohort of interns will be finalized by early April 2019.
