POSITION MISSION STATEMENT
The Chief Finance and Operations Officer will develop a financial strategy that sustains our future. Careful management of new tuition revenue will need to balance against expenses for residential development and additional costs with growing enrollment. In addition, the Chief Finance and Operations Officer will examine additional approaches to generate revenue to support innovation and salary increases at the Academy, as well as necessary cost cutting measures to ensure efficient and prudent use of all funds. The Business Office, Facilities and Capital Planning, Technology Systems, and Nutrition Services would report to the Chief Finance and Operations Officer. The Chief Finance and Operations Officer reports to the President and is a member of the President’s Cabinet and Senior Leadership Team.

The Director of Accounting is responsible for the maintaining the appropriate business and data records and general ledger accounting ensuring financial integrity of the Academy’s business and finance operations and procedures; manage the Academy’s general ledger including overseeing monthly, quarterly and annual reconciliations, fiscal year-end closing and opening. Prepare timely financial reports; supervise daily business office transactions and supervise periodic audits; assure compliance with policies and procedures; assist with payroll budget planning and guide and oversee payroll processing; and evaluate the effectiveness of accounting software, systems and processes. The position requires providing professional support, anticipating departmental needs, sourcing, purchasing recommendations and training to Academy staff for all types of procurement. Performs highly responsible functions of a complex and technical nature requiring the frequent exercise of good judgment and leadership initiative to ensure that processes, best practices, and documents accurately reflect purchasing needs. Ensure that purchases are made in accordance with the State of Illinois Statues and Rules and when possible, offer best value to the Academy.
Further, this position will serve as the Procurement Diversity and Compliance Monitor to support the initiatives of the State of Illinois Business Enterprise Council by reviewing vendor contract compliance and supporting sourcing initiatives to include and foster business growth among businesses owned by women, minority, and persons with disability.

The time commitment for this co-curricular is extensive and does involve some travel to competitions during the academic year. With this being a new co-curricular, the sponsor will have some latitude to work with the Coordinator of Athletics & Co-Curriculars to tailor the season of competition that will be sustainable over the years.

The selected candidate will be responsible for counseling students on a drop-in basis, supporting a small caseload of students, helping to execute educational programs focused on social and emotional learning, and assisting with coordinating peer support groups. Additionally, the counseling intern will engage in weekly supervision and participate in committee and team meetings as requested. The counseling intern will be supervised by the Coordinator of School Counseling. This position is an unpaid internship.

The selected candidates (up to 2) will assist the Student Inquiry and Research (SIR) program staff with the review and grading of student projects. These are part-time positions with flexible hours. Candidates should expect to be busiest in the weeks following Student Inquiry and Research submission dates.

POSITION SUMMARY
Resident Counselors (RCs) are members of a four person hall staff, who work collaboratively to monitor and support a residence hall. Each of our seven residence halls houses approximately 96 students. RCs are charged with directly supporting and developing 24 students in their wing. Through this live-in campus position, RCs facilitate the personal, social, emotional, and academic growth of students through personal interactions and programming in a living learning environment. Majority of work hours occur during the evening or on weekends, although occasional work may need to be completed before 3pm on weekdays.

POSITION SUMMARY
The selected candidate will be responsible for responding to calls for service, writing reports, and providing and ensuring adequate patrols of the campus to promote a safe learning and working environment for the IMSA Community and its visitors to the campus. Security Officers may be responsible for Front Desk Operations including, but not limited to; monitoring access to main building, registering guests through a visitor management system, monitoring CCTV camera system, answering telephone switchboard system, monitoring alarm systems, and relaying calls for service to other Patrol Officers.
Hours/Shift/Work Schedule: This position is a part time non-exempt position. Hours Worked: Hours may vary based on need and availability, but preference for candidates able to work 7:00am - 3:00pm or 3:00pm - 11:00pm on either Saturdays or Sundays.

IMSA's SITE intern program identifies talented college students who are pursuing STEM or education degrees and are interested in exploring teaching. It provides these interns with training, mentorship and support, feedback, and classroom opportunities to teach IMSA-created, hands-on, inquiry-based STEM content to students in IMSA’s summer programs. These internships will be largely in-person, based at IMSA’s Aurora campus but may include some work done remotely. This internship would begin June 3 and conclude July 26. General hours are 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m with a 30 minute unpaid lunch break. SITE Interns will receive hourly compensation of $15.00/hr.

Illinois Mathematics and Science Academy (IMSA) is hiring for its inquiry-based, hands-on STEM summer programs in the MetroEast (greater Belleville) area! Thie position pays $30/hr. Teachers must be available to teach the following three weeks:
- June 10 – 14
- June 24 - 28
- July 8 - 12
and have some availability to complete tasks listed below.
Hours/Schedule: This position requires:
- 7 hours of training (either virtually or in person) between May 29 and May 31
- 3 hours of curriculum review (to be completed prior to the virtual training)
- 2 hours of room set up on each of the following dates: June 7th, June 21st, and July 5th
- 5 hours for the week of each program, 8:00 am-12:30 pm (Program runs M-F, 9am to 12 noon)
- Teachers will be paid an hourly rate of $30/hour
POSITION SUMMARY: This position delivers curriculum to Summer@IMSA program participants in the greater MetroEast area. This summer locations will be in Belleville and O’Fallon. We are looking for teachers with experience teaching STEM to students in grades K, 1st, 2nd, 3rd, or 4th grades.
